Technology process of production of "Stumbras" vodka is a long one and demanding especially accurate work. Vodka is produced of rectified ethyl alcohol and softened water. These main components of preparation of vodka have significant influence on its quality. Water has to be crystal clear, colourless, without additional odour or taste. In production of "Stumbras" vodka, special filters and their combinations are used which soften the taste and aroma of vodka.
Starch raw material is used for production of distilled ethyl alcohol. These are cereals grown in Lithuania, which are crushed, mixed with water by adding enzymes for sugaring of the mass. After adding yeast to such mass, the fermentation starts and after it is completed, 8-10 % concentration of ethyl alcohol is reached in the starter. Fermented mass is transferred into distillation column in which distilled ethyl alcohol of concentration not less than 88% is produced.
Following stage of production - rectification. During the process of rectification, initial, intermediate and final impurities are separated from the distilled ethyl alcohol and the main product is obtained - food rectified ethyl alcohol which is used for production of vodka.
The final stage of production is mixing of rectified ethyl alcohol of "Liuks" type with specially prepared and filtered water. Prepared vodka is filtered by employing classic method through special equipment and system of filters. Vodka which has been filtered and prepared in this way is bottled in automatic distribution lines.
"Stumbras" vodka can be tasted in may different ways. Some like it straight, cooled, others mix this beverage with juice and soft drinks. In general it does not matter how "Stumbras" vodka is tasted, the most important thing is to experience its exceptional taste and aroma.
